Over the years, Caribbean food has benefited from the input and contributions many including the indigenous Carib and Arawak Indians, the various colonists which includes the Spanish, French and British and the migration of primarily Africans, East Indians and Chinese resulting in a true melting pot of diversity which is very prominent in the fusion and rich flavors of the food.
